La Roca BVB/Puma Experience

La Roca BVB/Puma Experience

As part of La Roca Futbol Club’s partnership with PUMA, a select number of coaches and players from La Roca’s Boys 2001-2002 age group have been invited  to Borussia Dortmund, BVB, in Dortmund, Germany to experience the professional nature of international soccer. Throughout the five-day trip they participated in  planned activities and training with the BVB Youth Academy to get maximum exposure into the international process and the full breadth of a professional European football academy. We were very excited to have our boys participate in this unique and wonderful opportunity. The players attending in 2015 were Ethan Harris, Nate Ortiz, Charlie Wheelwright, Ben Ortiz, Taylor Booth and Roy Mendoza. They were joined by coaches Adolfo Ovalle, Pancho Ovalle, Ariel Bravo, Felipe Diaz and David Chevez. In 2017, coaches Adolfo Ovalle, TJ Waters, Elton Jazexhiu and Kurt Nydegger were joined by ’03 players Christian Nydegger, Noah Robinson, Kevin Lomeli, Landon Ward and Caleb Meyerhoffer.

La Roca Club Founder, Adolfo Ovalle, said, “We are very grateful to Puma and Borussia Dortmund for facilitating a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our players and coaches. To see the level of training and soccer knowledge from BVB’s perspective is phenomenal.”
